There is a site called Objective Ministries, such that I am not able to tell whether it is authentic. It purports to be a christian site, but some of the things I see there look like a non-believer saying, "See, this is what christians are really like." I note, for example, that they have a page dedicated to having another site, Landover Baptist -- a blatent spoof site, taken down.
"The Internet was created by the United States of America - a Christian nation [ref. 1, 2, 3] - and should not be used to spread anti-Christian, secular, or non-Christian propaganda and hatespeech. This is our Internet, and we should exercise our position as its owners and as the guardians of civilization to stop its misuse." [Emphases in original]
That verbiage actually appears on their page for "shutting down" the known spoof site. Seriously, this looks like christians whining about outsiders making them look bad, but referencing a site that is an obvious spoof.
Are you kidding me? Man, it's a spoof! I have a T-Shirt of Mr. Gruff! I had them specially design it for me, since they didn't have a design I liked. (They'll do that on request, they're awesome.)
ReplyDeleteI'm 100% sure, minus that intrinsic factor of uncertainty due to the possibility that we all live in the Matrix (in case Sye is reading this) that it's a parody site, but I'll post back in a few minutes if I can come up with any solid, earth-shattering data.
But, if you look at the Kid's Corner, I think you will be convinced! Read the evolution section with the butterfly and Dr. Dino or whatever.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I wasn't aware of the nonexistence of their references. Based on the knowledge that I had, the site could have been genuine or a spoof. So, no, I was not kidding. I really didn't know.
Oh, yes, I won't delete a post for containing an actual link. I know you're familiar with a site that does delete such posts. I think the <a> tag makes it easier to follow your sites.
